Hey everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful week. I have been really busy as of late so I am feeling very exhausted. However, I didn’t let this get in my way of going out to photograph around my city and also a couple birds. Since, I have barely been able to go out and photograph I been getting a little rusty. This morning I went to go photograph some birds. I wanted to see if I see any new spring birds. It is definitely a perfect time to be going out and birding for sure as new babies are starting to fletch and watching them search for food is beautiful to see. I ran into my first American Goldfinch and the yellow color on this birds is truly stunning. I been seeing reports of the first hummingbirds around my area beginning to appear and I am definitely keeping an eye out making a map to plan out my route. I have had so much on my mind lately. This weekend I got to photograph the town of Vienna in Northern Virginia. It got me thinking about what’s next for me. I’m not sure if to continue photographing birds or focus on my street photography. One thing I know for sure is how good I am feeling about my photography as of late. I get so excited to get home and see my work. I am having a good turn around on photos after any giving shoot I do. I have been mentally telling myself “congratulation your hard work paid off”. Is a wonderful feeling that shapes my face into a huge grin.

As I mention last week I wanted to give my experiences of Manassas. This are moments of my life I have experience and would love to tell. If you are from this city and love it as much as I do then make sure to follow me to see more. You can find all my socials on the top right of the screen. As you may remember last week I shared how long it took me to see this city. Manassas is big so I haven’t been able to explore all of it. My first experience with this city was when I first went to Manassas Mall. It just so happens that this is where I would get my first dog a few years later. My dog has made such a huge impact in my mental health. He has been my emotional support since the beginning. So Manassas mall will always hold a special place in my heart as every time I pass by there I remember the day we got him. Last year in the pavilion I got my first opportunity to attend a walk ms event. Walk ms is an event held every year in many cities across the U.S. It’s a fundraiser that helps scientist continue there work into finding a cure for MS. Every one gets a team together of people around you that support you with your MS and ask for small donations from each team. We have the option to do a 1 mile walk or 3 mile walk. Last year I was really bad from my back but I did not let this stop me I did the 3 mile walk and afterwards I felt good about myself. We started from the pavilion and walked through old town Manassas. We pass by so many wonderful little businesses with their own personality. It’s an experience to be walking around this town and experiencing all this small shops. It takes your mind back to times when we had black and white tv’s and cameras. It’s one of the main reasons why I been deciding to do this shoots in black and white. I want to capture those times and take you back to a time where life was much different. How far we have come since then our technology has greatly improved. The Salvadorean festival that was held at the pavilion last year was beautiful. If this year they do it again you can best believe that I will be there. I miss my countries food and here you can find all the good stuff. I still have much more to explore in Manassas I am excited for what I have planned.

This week like I said I went to old town Vienna. A much smaller little section that makes you feel like your back in time. But that small street hold so much story behind it. I am hoping to share my favorite picture I took from this shoot. I felt like I capture the beauty of Vienna with that photo. I am planning to go to old town Alexandria next week or maybe i’ll try old town Herndon. The only problem is that old town Herndon is even smaller then Vienna so I will have to get very creative. I also need to keep being more consistent with my photography as I have come so far to be getting rusty now. Yesterday I felt like I was back to square one as I was struggling to get clear looking photos. I love my photos to look sharp and composed well. It’s what I go for when I take photos so when ever I have a photo that I like I make sure my settings are great before taking it for the best results. However, with bird photography sometimes you only have mere seconds to get that photo so knowing what you're doing is super important. The challenge with bird photography is knowing how to constantly go from subject to subject and nailing the perfect exposure every time. I feel like I have mastered this and this has improved my work flow. I use to stress about this when I started as I felt like I was taking to long just to snap 1 photo and most of the time the photo was bad. I got very consistent with it and I even ended carrying that heavy tripod around. I had to adapt to every situation and I am the photographer I am today because of it. I owe bird photography so much and that’s why I love doing it. I want to get more creative though so being able to stage and capture creative products is a goal I have. I am just saving up to be able to get the things I need and start it. It will revolve around cocktails and will feature instructions on how to make them at home as well. I am not an alcohol drinker but I have a great concept and ideas for it.

Next week there might not be a blog I am planning to do a couple of shoots and might not have time to write it. If it’s not out on Tuesday then I will try for Friday but no promises. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and hope to be back soon.
