Copa America 2024
Hello everyone,
It’s been a long weekend at least that’s how its felt like. I am still recovering from my infusion but am definitely doing pretty well. I been taking the time to see some of the euro games and I was let down by Hungary, Croatia, and England. My predictions still stand but I am definitely skeptical about who will take the trophy home. Here is my prediction of the Copa America this tournament is a little easier to predict so ill go through it quickly.
In group A we have Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Canada. In this group I know Argentina will top the group as they are the best in the world at the moment they are a favorite to win this tournament for sure. In second place I got Chile they been in good form but the only reason I have them second is because Peru is in bad form and this Canadian team still needs some work. Is for that reason I believe this Canadian team will end 4th and Peru 3rd. In group B we have Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela and Jamaica. The strongest team in this group is obviously Ecuador and I do believe that they will top this group. As for second place is where this group gets a bit complicated. Mexico golden generation is done and this Mexican side is the weakest we seen in decades. Jamaica is a hit or miss you either get a good Jamaican side or they will be a disappointment. They have the stars to do damage but I don’t think this will be enough. Venezuela has been playing great football and I believe if they can get something going of the start this team could be a dark horse of the tournament. If Venezuela is able to get going early I easily have them coming in 2nd. The second place spot will be heavily contended with Mexico it all depends on which version of Venezuela will see in this tournament.
In group C we have Uruguay, USA, Panama , and Bolivia. This like every other group we have on this tournament is kind of easy to see who will top it and that’s this Uruguay side. Uruguay been in incredible form and in my opinion they are a favorite to win this tournament as well. This is the best USA side we have seen in the past decade however so they won’t have it easy. I have USA in second this team is incredible the amount of talent this team has. This team would be higher for me but there back line is probably the weak points in this team. Panama is a good side but the lack of quality compare to this 2 teams if why I ultimately have them finishing 3rd. Bolivia is the weakest team in this tournament not much I can say about them this group is kind of a given who will make it out. In group D we have Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay and Costa Rica. This Costa Rican team is the weakest we seen in recent years most of there good players are already retired. They have good young talent coming up right now but they are still young and don’t have much experience in big tournaments like this I have them finishing 4th. Paraguay is a great team as well but they are facing two of the biggest teams in South America. So who do I have toping this group? Well in first I have Colombia. Colombia has been in great form and are also a favorite to win this tournament. They have a great squad this team can definitely take them to the final. Why Brazil 2nd? well ever since that lost they took against Croatia in the World Cup this team has been in a weird form. They can be good on some days but on there bad days this team looks bad. They have quality players which is why I would think this teams would have a much easier time getting results but is the complete opposite. Is for this reason I think they will finish second. In the final I have Argentina vs Colombia or Argentina vs Uruguay. Argentina is a huge favorite but I think either Colombia or Uruguay would finish taking the trophy home. I think this Argentinian side can do it but I am rooting for the underdog in this tournament. This tournament is a little easier to predict than the euro. There’s not really any real competitions for this big teams unfortunately. I wish the concacaf was a bit more competitive but I think this is the weakest conference in the world.
